Manufactured in the USA by DESA with the Comfort Glow brand name. This fireplace is meant to be placed into a mantle or recessed into a wall. The hole size must be at least 17.5" wide by 21.5" tall and 9" deep. The front screen is removable. DESA filed for bankruptcy several years ago, so there is no manufacturer warranty on this fireplace. The seller provides a 90-day warranty. Parts are available online. The fireplace is 99.9% efficient. The bottom grooved panel folds down to reveal the piezo pushbutton igniter and the control switch. The control switch has 3 positions - Off, Pilot
